WOMEN'S MINISTRY

We exist to encourage and support ladies - no matter what season

or circumstance - to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Humble actively seeks God’s will in finding ways to enrich the lives of women through encouragement, involvement, opportunities to learn, friendships, sharing gifts and experiences, praising God, outreach, building the Kingdom of God, and personal growth. It’s about connecting…women to women and women to God.

GALATIANS | KAY ARTHUR | PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT

SEPTEMBER 11 - NOVEMBER 30 | 9-11:30 A.M. | ROOM 2102 | $15.75

As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose. Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began. What does it mean to live under grace? Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian? All of it or just part of it? Who is right? How will we know? God used an apostle to write a letter to some churches that were struggling with this issue, a letter that still speaks today. Its message clearly defines the relationship between Law and grace, and how Christians live under grace, led by the Spirit, free from bondage. For more info email Mikki Brewer.

PSALM 23 | JENNIFER ROTHSCHILD

SEPTEMBER 11 - NOVEMBER 30 | 9-11:30 A.M. | ROOM 210 (JAM) | $13

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Many women know Psalm 23 by heart but haven't experienced its power in their lives. This beloved psalm can breathe new life into women who are weary and unsure of their next steps. It's more than a psalm that comforts in death; it gives confidence in life.

In this 7-session study by Jennifer Rothschild, gain fresh insight and encouragement from Psalm 23. Explore the depths of God's compassionate care while debunking the self-reliance myth. Learn how your vulnerability is not a liability because you can trust the Shepherd's goodness throughout each season of life. For more info contact Kathryn Samuels at Kathryn Samuels.

LIFT MINISTRIES

The Women’s Ministry at FBH would like to introduce LIFT “Ladies in Faith Together”, a new program that aims to create partnerships between women at different stages in their lives. The goal is for women to be able to spend time together, walking together through spiritual disciplines, participating in various ministry events and enjoying activities together. In Titus 2:3-5, scripture encourages older women to train younger women. No matter where you are in life, we believe that God has graced every woman in our church with lessons in which other women can learn. Applications due by November 15. For more information, email Gaylan Nolen.
