WOMEN'S MINISTRY

We exist to encourage and support ladies - no matter what season

or circumstance - to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

The Women’s Ministry of United City Church actively seeks God’s will in finding ways to enrich the lives of women through encouragement, involvement, opportunities to learn, friendships, sharing gifts and experiences, praising God, outreach, building the Kingdom of God, and personal growth. It’s about connecting…women to women and women to God.

In this 12 week study, we will dive into God's Word in small groups and learn how God has uniquely gifted each one of us. You will be challenged to indentify your gifts as well as learn about various opportunities to serve within the church and the community. The Bible will be our teacher as we uncover all of the timeless truths God has revealed about Spiritual Gifts. We will also enjoy breakfast and fellowship together each morning. We saved a seat for you!

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 4:10-11

Enjoy a workout to Christian hip-hop where all levels are welcome — prayer team, walking group, or strength and conditioning - followed by a healthy snack, fellowship and God’s Word. Many people feel they are less than who God says they are. We get our identity from our careers, our political positions, our roles in the family, and a number of other lesser things.

However, what is most true about us is that we are made by a God who loves us, and the gospel can bring us into a relationship with Him. When we understand who God is, we more fully understand who we are.

This small group study uses clips from the film Overcomer to examine how we determine our identity and how we can find our true identity in Christ.

Registration fee is $12. Childcare is available; register online. Grupo pequeño con discusión y libro en español. For more information on the morning class, email Lori Boyles at lori.boyles@gmail.com.  For more information on the evening class, email Denise Sepulveda at ricitos1180@hotmail.com.

LIFT MINISTRIES

The Women’s Ministry at FBH would like to introduce LIFT “Ladies in Faith Together”, a new program that aims to create partnerships between women at different stages in their lives. The goal is for women to be able to spend time together, walking together through spiritual disciplines, participating in various ministry events and enjoying activities together. In Titus 2:3-5, scripture encourages older women to train younger women. No matter where you are in life, we believe that God has graced every woman in our church with lessons in which other women can learn. For more information, email Gaylan Nolen.
