SERVING:  It's not just what we do -- it's who we are!

Volunteers are a vital part of our church community. God has given each of us unique gifts and abilities, and there are many different ways to serve. It's a great way to meet people, develop relationships, and grow as a follower of Christ.  And it’s not just on the weekends! Serving opportunities are available seven days a week.

Serve both services just one Sunday per month with our Media Team. Camera operators, lighting techs and on-screen lyric help is needed. Training is provided and no experience or technical background is needed. Contact Laurie Fields or Brandon Christian for more information.

Volunteers are needed to support our non-English speaking community by providing weekly classes of support and instruction in English.  ESL classes meet 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday nights beginning Sept. 12. There are several ways you can serve in this ministry; volunteers do not need to be bilingual or have teaching experience. Email Matt Glaze or call 281.814.4638 for more information.

Preschool Ministry is still in need of 12 teachers each week. Volunteers are needed to become a regular member of the teaching rotation (weekly or biweekly) or serve on the substitution team which helps fill gaps where needed. Contact Cathy Lane for details. 

Children's Ministry is still in need of leaders to serve during the 10:50 hour. Contact Cathy Rucker for details. 

Are you willing to give one hour per week to one student for one school year? You can change the life of a child, the culture of a school and make a difference in our community by serving as a Kids Hope mentor. We will be mentoring students at Humble, A.W. Each week a team of high-school students and adult volunteers tutor children from our community. Our volunteers assist students in their academic development and introduce them to Wednesday night opportunities for spiritual development. Each week men and women volunteers enter into our local prisons to touch the lives of prisioners, guards and other support staff. They offer discipleship classes to inmates and snacks and refreshments to the staff as an expression of God's love. Email Joe Broadhurst for details.

Mission Centers of Houston serves impoverished communities in inner-city Houston by providing for the physical and spiritual needs of indivuduals and families.
