A testament to his faithfulness and leadership ability, Chris Kouba has enjoyed a long and successful 17 years of ministry at one of the largest churches in the country, Prestonwood Baptist Church. Over the past five years, Chris has served as the lead pastor of Prestonwood's thriving North Campus, loving and discipling the people who live in and around Prosper, one of the fastest growing suburbs of North Texas. As their lead pastor, he has overseen pastoral care, ministry teams, staff, the on-campus Christian school, and the day-to-day ministries of the church.
Prior to serving at the North Campus, he oversaw the launch of Prestonwood’s Dallas Campus for 2-1⁄2 years. Before leading the Dallas campus, Chris had the privilege of spending 12 years serving in various ministerial roles, honing his outstanding leadership and teaching skills alongside Prestonwood’s Senior Pastor, Jack Graham.

Chris is a proud graduate of Baylor University (2002), where he met his wife Hillary. He received his master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary (2006) and his doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2014). In addition to his educational achievements, Chris is most proud of his role as husband to Hillary and father to Katelyn, Kenzie, Hudson and Griffin.
