Making God known through musical worship is a calling that God placed on my life as a teenager. My wife, Lisa, and my two daughters, McKenzie and McKennah, are real blessings to me as they support and take part in ministry here at the HuB.
Between the four of us, our family is very active in our community. McKenzie is a point guard on a local home-school basketball team, McKennah is a flyer on a competition cheer team, Lisa is an Adjunct Math Teacher at Lone Star College (our local Junior College), and me, I like to do anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping and even yard work are some of my favorite things to do.
Some other things you may find interesting about me are that I enjoy the challenge of staying in shape by running in obstacle-course races and mud runs, I prefer chocolate over vanilla, my favorite color is camouflage, my favorite movie of all time is “Remember the Titans,” and when I was in junior high, I wanted to be a fighter pilot in the USAF. The greatest thing I look forward to in life is Christ’s return (I know that’s a Sunday-school answer), but if he delays, I look forward to giving my daughters away in marriage to godly men, celebrating 50 years of marriage to Lisa and taking my grandkids hunting and camping.
Because of God’s faithfulness to me, I want to serve Him in any way that accurately portrays His character. Worship goes far beyond music and is demonstrated through the outward acts of kindness and love that we take part in each day. My prayer is that the music you hear and sing during our Sunday worship services will prepare you for the times you commune with God each and every day of the week.
