As a Christ-follower, my heart's passion and goal is to “love the Lord my God with all my heart, and with all my soul, and with all my mind, and with all my strength” and to “love my neighbor as myself” (Mk. 12:30-31). The greatest way to express both is to fulfill Jesus’s command to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that He has commanded me … ” (Matt. 28:19-20).
As a husband and father, I get the privilege of living out the gospel with my wife, Emily (happily married for 17 years), and our two awesome daughters, Olivia (16) and Sarah Cate (14). As a Discipleship Pastor, I also get the privilege of encouraging, equipping and resourcing our great Discipleship Staff and LifeGroup Leaders to continue to grow in Christ!
I am a life-long learner (and it seems I will be in school the rest of my life!), and I love to teach and train disciples. One way I have fulfilled my calling is serving as an adjunct instructor in theology/history at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as I complete my Ph.D. in Theology. Why? Because my passion is for Christ’s Church! God’s purpose of His Church is to glorify Him and make Him known to a world unaware. So, let’s grab some coffee and get in the Word together and spread this great Gospel to the world one soul at a time!
