WHAT IS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER?
The Child Development Center (CDC) is a weekday preschool offered two days a week on Monday and Thursday (9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) during the school year.
The purpose of our preschool is to extend the ministry of our church by providing care, education, and development for each child enrolled. Our desire is to meet your child’s needs in every area of their spiritual, social, academic, and physical development through a Christ-centered, loving environment.
What does the preschool day look like?
Your child’s day at our preschool includes activities to develop the whole child: spiritually, academically, physically and socially. Classroom learning of ABC’s and 123’s is made exciting through cooking, science experiments, arts and crafts, and lots of hands-on activities. We offer age appropriate exercise and movement in our Move-N-Groove class, and each day is filled with fun songs in our Music class. Each area of learning and movement done at CDC is accentuated with Bible stories and examples of Bible truths along with scripture memorization. Monthly chapel and themed days ensure each preschool day offers a new adventure in your child’s learning.
Who may attend?
CDC accepts children from ages 12 months through 5 years. Children in the Threes, Pre-K and KIT classes must be potty trained and out of pull-ups. Children are enrolled into the classroom according to their age on September 1. (For example, a child who is turning two on September 15 will go into a one year old class.) Our KIT Class (Kindergarteners-in-Training) is available for students who are five years old by September 1 who are not quite ready for kindergarten. The KIT class is taught by certified teachers.
When is school in session?
School is in session two days a week on Monday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The school year is September to May. We follow the Humble ISD school calendar.
How do I register my child?
Registration forms are available at the church or on the website.
When is tuition due?
Tuition is due monthly. Checks or cash are accepted. Online payments may be arranged through your bank. (They will send CDC a monthly tuition check.)
